Sun Parlor Honey Recipes
Breakfast: Waffle Sandwich with Honey Apple Syrup
3/4 cup Sun Parlor Honey, divided
1/4 cup Apple Juice
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 Crisp Ontario apples, cored and sliced
8 Frozen waffles
8-16 Thin slices ham or cooked back bacon
- To prepare syrup, place 1/2 cup Sun Parlor Honey and apple juice in small sauce pan over medium heat; heat thoroughly. Set aside and keep warm.
- Melt butter with remaining 1/4 cup Sun Parlor Honey in large non stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add apple; cook and stir about 4 minutes or until apples are lightly caramelized and tender-crisp.
- Warm ham or bacon slices slightly.
- Assembly; For each serving, place 2 waffles on plate, overlapping slightly. Top each waffle with 1 or 2 slices ham. Top with 1/4 of apple mixture and drizzle with 1/4 of syrup.
Makes 4 servings.
Dinner: Sweet and Sour Chicken or Ribs
6 lbs. Chicken or ribs
3/4 cup Sun Parlor Honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
- Boil chicken for 15 minutes (boil ribs for 30 minutes)
- Mix Sun Parlor Honey, ketchup and garlic together.
- Place meat in roasting pan; pour sauce over top and cover.
- Bake for 35 minutes at 400 F, covered and for 15 minutes more uncovered.
